Buick has been making the news a lot as of late with the success of the 2010 Buick LaCrosse (including the RMAP award) and the announcement of the 2011 Buick Regal. Since we have speculated on the compact sedan recently, the compact crossover has really caught our eye. Car and Driver reports that not a lot was divulged about the new vehicle, but they do know that it will be smaller than the current Equinox and GMC Terrain platform. Expect this new Buick to show up sometime in 2012 and continue to change the face of the company. Buick believes that this years introduction of the 2011 Buick Regal and then the new compact crossover will boost their ability to compete with the U.S. new car market to 46% from the 14% it currently is today.

Buick is working hard to change their image and the proof is in the automobiles. If you haven’t checked out the 2011 Buick Regal, then be sure to read our report from the floor of the 2010 Denver Auto Show.
