2010 Toyota Prius

2010 Toyota Prius

Once again, our last posting for the month goes through the five most popular posts on AllAboutPrius for April. And this month, now that details on the 2010 Toyota Prius have been released, all but one have changed from March:

# 1: 30 Days of the 2010 Toyota Prius: Your Reference Guide. We put this page up as an index to everything we're writing about the 2010 Prius, so you'd have it in one convenient location. Bottom Line: Start here!

# 2: 30 Days of the 2010 Toyota Prius: Day 12, Battery Pack. This one surprised us; we hadn't expected this much interest in the Prius's energy storage pack. Bottom Line: Disappointingly, it's a very mildly updated version of the last car's nickel-metal-hydride battery pack--but we still hold out hopes that there'll be a lithium-ion pack within a few years.

# 3: 30 Days of the 2010 Toyota Prius: Day 4, Equipment Levels and Packages. Now this one, we expected. The most concise rundown we could muster on the different ordering options for your 2010 Toyota Prius. Bottom Line: Four equipment levels, three option packages, and a fifth (and sparsest) equipment level still to come to get that entry price down, so the base 2010 Prius can compete with the 2010 Honda Insight already at dealers.

# 4: 30 Days of the 2010 Toyota Prius: Day 1, First Impressions and 70 MPG.  We figured that "70 MPG" headline might draw a few people into an account of our very first test drive. Bottom Line: We'll just quote our colleague Marty Padgett's summary: The 2010 Prius is significantly improved over the prior car in dozens of small ways. Along with exceptional fuel economy, it benefits from a taller, more airy cabin and improved driving feel. It's also a more upscale effort in general.

# 5: 2010 Toyota Prius: Overview. Last month's most popular item and our sole holdover, this one's no longer the only place to start now that we have so many more details of the 2010 Prius. Bottom Line: Check this month's # 1 post for an index to our full "30 Days of the 2010 Toyota Prius" series, which over time will cover every facet of the world's best-known hybrid car.
