Green Places for Driving Hydrogen Fuel Cell Cars
August 21st, 2008 | by admin |There will probably be a day in the future when you will see hydrogen fuel cell cars on the highways and city streets all across the world. However right now there are only limited areas where fuel cell cars can be driven because the network of service stations for these green cars is small.
Understanding Hydrogen Fuel Cell Cars
To understand why we won’t see hydrogen fuel cell cars on the roads everywhere for awhile requires an understanding of the technology used in fuel cell cars. This technology differs from other cars including other green cars. It requires special service and even special gas stations that are only available in certain parts of the world (such as Southern California).
Fuel Cell Cars and Cities
Even after hydrogen fuel cell cars start to reach a wider market, it is likely that we will only see fuel cell cars in urban (and perhaps suburban areas) but not in rural areas. This is because it is not cost-effective to build out the service network for these green cars to all areas.
Considering Other Green Cars
People who are interested in hydrogen fuel cell cars but who don’t live in an area where fuel cell cars make sense in the market may want to look at other green car options. These people can read auto reviews (such as Chrysler Reviews, Lexus Reviews or Saturn Reviews) to learn more about different green cars and to see which ones are more viable in the area where they live.
